A summer banquet in full bloom, on the verge of beautiful collapse. Think gardens at their peak, tables still crowded long after dinner should have ended, and the particular madness that follows when a room full of people suddenly begins to see things a little too clearly.

A dangerous thing, taste. Once it appears, it rarely keeps to itself.

This show took that idea seriously. Not just fashion as clothing, but fashion as contagion: a sharpened eye, a heightened appetite, a refusal to return to ordinary life once beauty has made itself known. A little feast, a little fever dream, a little end-of-the-world revelry. If the night were ending, one would hope it looked something like this.
